  • The Norwegian Association of Curators is a partner for the conference and has added funds to the travel support scheme set up together with OCA for the conference, making the total NOK 60 000. In addition select board members have contributed with time towards this important network development.

    The Norwegian Association of Curators has also provided the conference with a digital home on their webpages, thereby archiving this important moment in Norwegian curatorial history.

  • Office for Contemporary Art Norway (OCA) is a partner for the conference. OCA funds networking opportunities that the conference provides for the Norwegian art field to expand international connections and opportunities.

    Their support amounts to NOK 150 000, where NOK 50 000 of their support is redistributed to professionals in Norway through the Norwegian Association of Curators, to support travel for those that want to attend the conference.

    In addition, some of the speakers have been included in the International Visitor Programme, to support research in Norway and Sápmi by international curators for their upcoming exhibitions and projects, thereby covering their cost of travel and accommodation.

  • The conference has received NOK 120 000 from the Prosjektstøtte visuell kunst (project support visual art) from the Arts Council Norway through its Faglig utvalg for visuell kunst (commitee of visual art).

  • The conference has received NOK 100 000 from KORO’s Local Communities Programme (LOK).

    About KORO’s Local Communities Programme: Lokalsamfunnsordningen (LOK) is a programme to provide funding and production assistance for art projects in local communities. It is intended to stimulate the production and mediation of public art projects and contribute to the development of public art both locally and regionally.

  • The Royal Norwegian Consulate General in Shanghai has supported the participation of Michelle Yenho Hyun. The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Beijing has supported the participation of Carol Yinghua Lu.

  • Bergen Kjøtt is a location partner for the conference for Thursday 26 June and Friday 27 June.

  • Cornerteateret is a location partner to the conference for Saturday 28 June.

  • Bergen Assembly is location partner for the evening gathering on Saturday 28 June, welcoming all the conference participants.

    About Volt: Volt is a long-term, Bergen-based curatorial project that focuses on commissioning and presenting new contemporary artworks from practitioners working across a diverse range of media. Past projects have taken the form of exhibitions, time-based media, sound art and performances, as well as publications, lectures, seminars, workshops and reading circles held in a wide variety of public venues. Founded by Marie Nerland in 2008.

  • The Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia supports the travel costs for participants Adriana Dominguez and Paloma Ayala.

  • Idle Women, Rachel Anderson and Cis O’Boyle, have generously provided their time and finances to contribute to this conference at no cost for the organiser.

    About Idle Women: Idle Women is an arts, environment and social justice collaboration ​founded by artists in 2015. Idle Women create artworks which are spaces: a boat, a garden, a rave, a website. Our works are sculptural, site-specific and contextual. They are created through social justice collaborations and built to last, to be animated and inhabited by women. Idle Women is a collaboration with women from any and all walks of life. We work to our strengths because we know that transformation is a daily process, there are always other ways and beauty is complicated.

    Manakish Muhammara and Thyme: Traditional Middle Eastern flatbreads. One is topped with muhammara, a savory spread made of tomatoes, onions, paprika purée, pomegranate, and spices. The other is topped with a thyme-based za'atar mix and olive oil, baked in the oven 

    Hummus with Bread: A smooth chickpea and tahini, served with soft Middle Eastern flatbread.

    Fatteh: A layered dish with crispy bread, fried eggplant, chickpeas, spiced minced meat, and a yogurt-tahini sauce, topped with herbs 

  • IKT International Association
    of Curators of Contemporary Art has supported the conference with NOK 7 000. The  conference will be promoted and listed as part of the IKT Satellite events in 2025.

    About IKT: IKT actively collaborates with institutions, curators, and cultural initiatives around the world through partnerships and satellite events. These collaborations support the exchange of knowledge, promote contemporary curatorial practice, and extend IKT’s presence beyond the annual congress. By engaging with diverse projects and communities, IKT fosters critical dialogue, visibility, and international connections within the curatorial field.

  • The Art Academy has awarded support to the conference through the paid research time for Professor Anne Szefer Karlsen.

    The University of Bergen and the Faculty of Fine Art, Music and Design have provided NOK 10 000, as well as awarded support through Humaniorastrategien and strategic funds for the project ‘Formidling som fagfelt (Mediation as discipline) which report will be launched during the conference on Saturday 28 June.
