  • The Norwegian Association of Curators

    The Norwegian Association of Curators is a partner for the conference and has added funds to the travel support scheme set up together with OCA for the conference, making the total NOK 60 000. In addition select board members have contributed with time towards this important network development.

    The Norwegian Association of Curators has also provided the conference with a digital home on their webpages, thereby archiving this important moment in Norwegian curatorial history.

  • Office for Contemporary Art Norway (OCA)

    Office for Contemporary Art Norway (OCA) is a partner for the conference. OCA funds networking opportunities that the conference provides for the Norwegian art field to expand international connections and opportunities.

    Their support amounts to NOK 150 000, where NOK 50 000 of their support is redistributed to professionals in Norway through the Norwegian Association of Curators, to support travel for those that want to attend the conference.

    In addition, some of the speakers have been included in the International Visitor Programme, to support research in Norway and Sápmi by international curators for their upcoming exhibitions and projects, thereby covering their cost of travel and accommodation.

  • Arts Council Norway – Norwegian Cultural Fund

    The conference has received NOK 120 000 from the Prosjektstøtte visuell kunst (project support visual art) from the Arts Council Norway through its Faglig utvalg for visuell kunst (commitee of visual art).

  • KORO

    The conference has received NOK 100 000 from KORO’s Local Communities Programme (LOK).

    About KORO’s Local Communities Programme: Lokalsamfunnsordningen (LOK) is a programme to provide funding and production assistance for art projects in local communities. It is intended to stimulate the production and mediation of public art projects and contribute to the development of public art both locally and regionally.

    The Royal Norwegian Consulate General in Shanghai has supported the participation of Michelle Yenho Hyun. The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Beijing has supported the participation of Carol Yinghua Lu.

    IKT International Association
    of Curators of Contemporary Art has supported the conference with NOK 7 000. The  conference will be promoted and listed as part of the IKT Satellite events in 2025.

    About IKT: IKT actively collaborates with institutions, curators, and cultural initiatives around the world through partnerships and satellite events. These collaborations support the exchange of knowledge, promote contemporary curatorial practice, and extend IKT’s presence beyond the annual congress.     The Art Academy has awarded support to the conference through the paid research time for Professor Anne Szefer Karlsen.

    The University of Bergen and the Faculty of Fine Art, Music and Design have provided , as well as awarded support through Humaniorastrategien and strategic funds for the project ‘Formidling som fagfelt (Mediation as discipline) which report will be launched during the conference on Saturday 28 June.
