Travel to Bergen
If you arrive from abroad, you will most probably want to fly to Bergen, arriving at Bergen Airport, Flesland (BGO).
Trains to Bergen arrive from Oslo six times a day. The train is called F4, and travel times are between 6,5 hours (early morning train) and 7,5 hours (sleeper train). You can be buy tickets through vy.no. -
Arrival in Bergen
If you arrive by train, you arrive in the city centre.
If you arrive by plane, you are recommended to take public transport to the city centre. Taxis are also available.
The airport bus, Flybussen, is NOK 179 one way (at the time of writing), and leaves from platform A3 to a number of stops in the city centre.
The light rail, Bybanen, is easily accessible at the airport. A single ticket is NOK 49, and a 7-day ticket is NOK 272 (at the time of writing). The easiest is to download the Skyss Ticket app before you arrive. The ticket is also valid for all buses in Bergen. -
Getting around Bergen
Bergen is a very walkable city. While the conference locations are spread out they are available by public transportation and by foot in the city centre. For differently abled folks, this information might be a stretch – as documented by accessiblebergen.

June is a high season for tourism in Bergen. It is advised to book early and to consider staying outside of the city centre.
